We support the Algerian national biometric ID card with OCR, including native Arabic and French text extraction. Algerian ePassports are verified today through NFC chip reading with our Chip Reader (ICAO-standard electronic travel documents). Passport photo OCR and driving licence support are on our roadmap and in active development. Additional document types and countries are planned. Contact us for timelines.
NFC reads data directly from the cryptographic chip inside the ID: it verifies the chip's digital signature and proves the document hasn't been tampered with. This is the highest assurance route, completing in under 5 seconds. OCR extracts text from photos of the document using AI, completing in under 8 seconds end-to-end. We recommend NFC when the device supports it; OCR is a reliable fallback.
All Assurique products are on-premise software deployed entirely on your own infrastructure. There is no cloud component, no SaaS dependency, and no data ever leaves your environment. Once deployed, the system runs fully offline with no outbound network connections: no telemetry, no usage data sent to Assurique.
Our on-premise architecture inherently satisfies Algeria's domestic hosting and data sovereignty requirements: Law 18-07 (personal data protection: all data stays on your infrastructure), Regulation 24-64 (digital banking domestic hosting), Instruction 06-2025 (PSP domestic hosting requirements), and Law 05-01 (AML/KYC obligations). Since you are the sole data controller, no foreign data transfer issues arise.
We provide a REST API for full verification lifecycle management, an Android SDK (a drop-in AAR library requiring just 2 lines of code to integrate), and HMAC-signed webhooks for real-time notifications when verifications reach a terminal state. A web-based operator dashboard is also included for reviewing verifications and monitoring system health. Comprehensive API documentation and integration guides are included with your license.
Yes. We offer two free demonstration apps on Google Play and the Apple App Store, one for the full identity verification flow (document capture, liveness, face matching) and one for NFC chip reading (fully on-device, no network). For a deeper evaluation, we can arrange a proof-of-concept deployment on your infrastructure for qualified organizations. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
Each product is licensed per machine using a cryptographically signed license file (RSA-4096) bound to your specific server. The license defines the product, authorized machine, worker limits, and expiration date. Licenses are structured as annual or multi-year agreements. When a license expires, the software stops processing new verifications. Existing data on your infrastructure remains accessible. Contact us to renew.
