Who We Are

("Assurique", "we", "us", "our") develops on-premise identity verification software for organizations in Algeria. Our registered office is in Algiers, Algeria.

how we handle personal data across our products, demo applications, and website, in accordance with Algerian Law 18-07 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.

Our Products — On-Premise Software

Assurique develops on-premise identity verification software, including solutions for document recognition, NFC chip reading, liveness detection, and face matching.

All our products are on-premise software packages deployed entirely on the customer's own infrastructure.

We do not host, process, or store any end-user data. All identity verification — including document images, biometric data, liveness video, NFC chip data, and verification results — is processed and stored exclusively on infrastructure owned and operated by our customers.
We have no access to end-user personal data. Our software runs as a self-contained system with no outbound connections to Assurique servers. There is no telemetry, analytics, or data collection of any kind.
Our customers are the data controllers. Each organization that deploys our software is solely responsible for the collection, processing, storage, and protection of end-user personal data under Law 18-07 and any applicable regulations.

We provide the software tools. Our customers operate them under their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

Demo Applications

We offer two free demonstration applications on Google Play and the Apple App Store:

Assurique Identity Verification

Demonstrates the full verification flow: document capture, liveness, face matching, and result.

Data processed Document images (front & back), liveness selfie video, face biometric data, device model and OS version (for compatibility and security checks)
How it's handled Images and video are transmitted to our demo server for processing. All data is deleted immediately after processing — no personal data, images, biometric data, or results are retained. No user accounts are created. No data is shared with third parties.
Legal basis Consent — by voluntarily using the demo app, you consent to temporary processing for demonstration purposes (Article 7, Law 18-07).
Retention None. All data is deleted upon completion of the demo.

Assurique SmartID

Demonstrates reading identity data from NFC-enabled documents and passports.

Data processed NFC chip data — identity information stored on the document chip, including name, date of birth, document number, and chip photograph
How it's handled All processing happens entirely on your device. No data is transmitted over the network, no server connection is made, and no data is stored or saved to the device. Data is displayed on-screen during the session only.
Retention None. No data persists beyond the active session.

Website

When you visit our website (assurique.com), we may collect:

Contact form submissions

Name, email address, company name, and message content — used solely to respond to your inquiry.

Basic analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand page visits and traffic sources — no personal profiles are created.

We do not use advertising trackers or sell visitor data to third parties.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties, except:

Service providers

We may use hosting providers for our website and demo server infrastructure. These providers process data solely on our behalf and under our instructions.

Legal requirements

We may disclose data if required by Algerian law, court order, or governmental authority.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, as required by Article 40 of Law 18-07:

Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
Immediate data deletion after demo processing
Access controls and authentication
Regular security assessments of our software

Your Rights

Under Law 18-07, you have the right to:

Right to Access

Request the personal data we hold about you (Article 32).

Right to Correct

Request correction of inaccurate personal data (Article 35).

Right to Object

Object to the processing of your personal data (Article 33).

Right to Delete

Request deletion when processing is no longer necessary.

Children's Privacy

Our products and demo applications are designed for identity verification of adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18.

Data Location

Demo Applications

Our demo server is hosted in a secure data center. If you use the identity verification demo application, your data is processed on this server and immediately deleted. No permanent storage of personal data occurs.

On-Premise Products

All data remains within the customer's own infrastructure and jurisdiction — ensuring full compliance with Algerian data sovereignty requirements under Regulation 24-64 and Instruction 06-2025.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through our website.
